The Lyme Disease Appeal will run beyond September. The two main goals of the Appeal are to raise $1 million for research into Lyme Disease in Australia and to raise public awareness of Lyme disease, its causes, symptoms, treatment and prevention.

100% of donations raised during the Lyme Disease Appeal will go towards establishing a Lyme disease research facility at The University of Sydney.

Pharmacies Australia-wide have the opportunity to play an important role in educating the public on Lyme disease and assisting in understanding a very complex disease with complex treatments.
